In the ever-evolving landscape of design and entrepreneurship, understanding one’s value and unique selling proposition (USP) is paramount to success. As I reflect on my journey and aspirations, I delve into what I believe sets me apart and defines my value in the creative industry.

So after some reflecting, introspection, research and taking inventory I have wrote My Unique Selling Proposition:
Passion-driven Work Ethic: A part of my value lies in my unwavering passion for design and entrepreneurship. What some may perceive as work, I see as a fulfilling pursuit that is fun. This intrinsic motivation fuels my dedication and ensures that every endeavor is filled with enthusiasm and purpose.
Mindful Integrity: While pursuing my professional goals, I remain mindful of maintaining integrity in my pursuits. I understand the importance of authenticity and transparency, ensuring that my actions align with my values and principles. By seeking personal growth through coaching and resources, and expanding my networking, continually striving to enhance my skills and knowledge, embodying a commitment to excellence in all aspects of my work.
Purposeful Creativity: Identifying what I love, what the world needs, what I can be paid for, and what I’m good at forms the cornerstone of my creative journey. My passion for product design, business, and purposeful creation drives me to collaborate with others, make a positive impact, and deliver innovative solutions that address real-world challenges effectively.
Continuous Learning and Growth: Embracing failure as a stepping stone to success, I foster resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges. Cultivating a growth mindset, I actively seek feedback and opportunities for improvement, leveraging my creative problem-solving abilities to tackle complex design challenges and drive innovation.
Forward-Thinking Adaptability: I embrace change as an opportunity for growth and innovation. Engaging in continuous professional development, I attend workshops, conferences, and networking events to stay informed and inspired, giving back to the UL community through the Consulting & Entrepreneurship Society, mentorship, volunteering, and knowledge sharing.

To conclude I will answer the questions that were at the end of the skills audit. (answers that I wrote right after class this week)

What is important to you in design?
Being true to my values. Not staying hidden or taking the easy route. Considerate and purposeful design are important to me.

What story do you want to tell about your design work and to you, as a designer?
Reflecting on something I said in Why do I prefer purposeful design, I want to be involved in bringing great purposeful products to life. That are designs you could stare at for a questionable amount of time in a museum but also those that are successful innovate businesses. I want my life style to reflect that goal not the other way around, to have my clothes I wear to be reminiscent of the version of myself that can make those goals happen. I aim for my designs to reflect my passions but for the product to be the most valuable for the customer.

What area do you want to improve in?
In general, Design, Business and Self Development. Specifically the lower rated items on my skills audit such as time keeping, writing, reflecting on my work, primary research, the Affinity suite and Sketching. I also want to keep practicing with the higher rated ones so I don’t start taking steps backwards in those skills.

What steps can you take to improve now?
I’ll leave that to my blog in week 12!
